What price should you charge on TikTok Shop?
Use the calculator as a TikTok Shop price calculator: enter your product cost, shipping and creator commission, then read two prices off the results.
Break-even price is the lowest price where an order stops losing money. Price for your target margin is the lowest price that keeps the profit margin you set — 20% by default. Percentage costs — TikTok's fees, creator commission and ad spend — grow with the price, so only part of any price increase reaches your profit.
In the example below, with creators driving 60% of orders at 15% commission, the product breaks even at £15.35 and needs to sell for £22.64 to keep a 20% margin — so the £20.00 example price leaves less than 20%.

FBT or ship it yourself? The UK break-even
Self-shipped orders pay the £0.50 Shipped by Seller fee plus your own postage and packaging. FBT orders skip that fee but pay the FBT operation fee and, on orders of £22 or more, £1.99 shipping. For one small (S) item:

Two things the table leaves out. Under £22 the buyer pays shipping on standard FBT, which can cost you conversions, so many sellers price just above £22 or bundle. And FBT ties up stock: storage is free for the first 60 days, then charged daily by volume, so slow sellers get more expensive the longer they sit.

How the calculation works
TikTok's commission is a percentage of the order value. Everything else — creator commission, fulfilment, ads and returns — depends on how you sell, so the calculator stacks them into one profit figure per order.
Break-even ROAS is the selling price divided by the profit per order before ad spend. Below that ROAS, each ad-driven order loses money.
Worked example: a £20.00 product
Say you sell at £20.00 (including 20% VAT, as a VAT-registered seller) with a product cost of £6.00, £3.20 fulfilment per order, a 5% return rate and £2.50 lost per return. TikTok's fees (9% commission, £0.50 shipped by seller fee) are only part of the cost stack:

Creator commission cuts profit from £4.60 to £2.89 per order. With creators in the mix, ads need at least 6.92× ROAS just to break even — at 4× this product loses money on every ad-driven order.

How much does TikTok Shop charge sellers in the UK?
The standard UK commission is 9% per order, up from the 5% launch rate in September 2024. Self-shipped orders also carry a £0.50 Shipped by Seller fee. Creator commissions, fulfilment and ads are on top.
What is the £0.50 TikTok Shop fee?
Since 15 July 2025 TikTok charges a £0.50 (VAT-inclusive) service fee per package on orders you ship yourself. Orders fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) or shipped via the platform don't pay it.
Do I pay VAT on TikTok Shop sales?
If you're a UK VAT-registered seller holding stock in the UK, you generally account for VAT on what the customer pays, so a £24 price is £20 of revenue plus £4 VAT. Tick the VAT option in the calculator to see your profit net of VAT. Rules differ for overseas sellers — check with your accountant.
Is TikTok Shop cheaper than Amazon in the UK?
On headline commission, usually yes — 9% versus Amazon's category referral fees, which are higher for most categories. But once creator commission (often 10–20%) and ads are added, the real take can be similar, which is why the calculator models them together.
What ROAS do I need for TikTok Shop ads to break even?
Divide your selling price by your profit per order before ads. The calculator shows this break-even ROAS live, so you can compare it with what your GMV Max campaigns actually deliver.
How much does Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) cost in the UK?
FBT charges an operation fee per item by size — £0.78 (XS), £1.08 (S), £1.80 (M) or £3.00 (L), VAT included — plus £1.99 shipping per parcel on standard orders of £22 or more (nothing below £22, where the buyer pays delivery). Storage is free for the first 60 days, then charged daily by volume. FBT orders don't pay the £0.50 Shipped by Seller fee.
Is FBT cheaper than shipping orders myself?
For a small item on an order of £22 or more, FBT costs about £3.07. Shipping yourself costs your postage and packaging plus the £0.50 fee, so FBT is cheaper once your postage and packaging are above about £2.57. Under £22 FBT is usually cheaper for you, but the buyer pays for delivery.
