What price should you charge on TikTok Shop?

Use the calculator as a TikTok Shop price calculator: enter your product cost, shipping and creator commission, then read two prices off the results.

Break-even price is the lowest price where an order stops losing money. Price for your target margin is the lowest price that keeps the profit margin you set — 20% by default. Percentage costs — TikTok's fees, creator commission and ad spend — grow with the price, so only part of any price increase reaches your profit.

In the example below, with creators driving 60% of orders at 12% commission, the product breaks even at RM33.44 and needs to sell for RM45.70 to keep a 20% margin — so the RM59.00 example price leaves room to spare.

Commission figures come from TikTok Shop's official Malaysia notice (7 Jul 2026). Your exact rate depends on sub-category, Mall status and whether you're in the BXP subsidy programme — the rate field is editable.

How the calculation works

TikTok's commission is a percentage of the order value. Everything else — creator commission, fulfilment, ads and returns — depends on how you sell, so the calculator stacks them into one profit figure per order.

Break-even ROAS is the selling price divided by the profit per order before ad spend. Below that ROAS, each ad-driven order loses money.

Worked example: a RM59.00 product

Say you sell at RM59.00 with a product cost of RM20.00, RM5.00 fulfilment per order, a 4% return rate and RM5.00 lost per return. TikTok's fees (11.34% commission, 3.78% transaction fee, RM0.54 platform support fee) are only part of the cost stack:

Creator commission cuts profit from RM23.14 to RM19.06 per order. With creators in the mix, ads need at least 3.10× ROAS just to break even — at 4× this product still makes money.

How much commission does TikTok Shop charge in Malaysia?

It depends on sub-category, whether you're a Mall seller, and whether you're in the BXP subsidy programme. TikTok's own examples: 11.34% for a non-Mall guitar seller (14.58% Mall), falling to 7.02% (10.26% Mall) for shops in the BXP subsidy programme. Rates are SST-inclusive.

Did TikTok Shop Malaysia cut fees in 2026?

Yes. From 8 July 2026 commission dropped on everyday essentials: oral care by 0.54pp, nursing & feeding by 1.08pp, pantry food by 3.78–7.02pp, and staples like rice, oil, salt, sugar and flour to as low as 0%.

What other fees does TikTok Shop Malaysia charge?

A transaction fee (3.78% including SST) on what the buyer pays, and since 15 February 2026 a RM0.54 platform support fee per delivered order that isn't refunded on returns. New sellers, small sellers and essential categories are exempt from the support fee.
